We are greatful for the freedom we have and proud of the nation. We were born to India celebrates its 75th Independance Day as ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mohatsav to commemorate its freedom 15th and August, 2022 was the day of immense pride and joy for all Indians. St Xavier’s School & Jr. college, celebrated the 15th Independance Day with great pride and enthusiasm.
Raigad Bhushan, Johnson D’souza sir, chairman, St. Xavier’s school hoisted the national flag which was followed by National Anthem.
The cultural programmes like classical dances patriotic song competition organized on this day was rendered to the soldiers and our motherland. Inter house Patriotic song competition was organized on the occasion wherein all on the eight houses performed beautifully. Patriotic songs sung by these houses filled the atmosphere with and heighten the spirit of nationalism. Motivational speeches delivered by the students touched everyone’s heart. Poster competition was also orgainsed on 13th August and students have performed exceedingly well.
A solemn speech was given by the chairman Sir paying homage to the brave Martyrs of the country. Parents’ presence in large number added to the beauty of the celebration. The program ended by distributing sweets to the students.
